Enfermedad mieloproliferativa crónicaResumo
[EN] There is scarce information on the incidence and clinical characterisation of MF patients who have severe thrombocytopenia (platelet count <50 9 109/l) at diagnosis Herein, we describe the clinical features, treatment and evolution data of 57 such patients. We have also compared the main characteristics of patients with severe thrombocytopenia with those of a series of 834 MF patients with higher platelet counts. In conclusion, we have shown that MF patients with severe thrombocytopenia at diagnosis are a high-risk population with short survival and limited treatment options.
